Meaning of As-Samad

The One who is eternal, absolute, and on whom all of creation depends, while He depends on no one. He is the ultimate source to whom all turn in their needs, and He is completely self-sufficient.

As-Samad in the Quran

Mentioned once in the Quran in Surah Al-Ikhlas: \'Allah, the Eternal Refuge\' (112:2).
