Frequently Asked Questions
Because without belief in the resurrection and accountability, this life has no ultimate meaning or justice. The belief that Al-Ba'ith will resurrect us gives purpose to our actions, provides a framework for morality, and ensures that justice will ultimately prevail.
The Arabic root 'ba-a-tha' means to send forth or dispatch. Allah is Al-Ba'ith because He 'sent forth' the Prophets (like Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) with His message to guide humanity. And on the final day, He will 'send us forth' from our graves for judgment.
The Quran gives many logical proofs. For example, it points to the revival of dead earth with rain, and it states that the One who created humanity from nothing the first time can surely create them again, which is an easier act. It appeals to both nature and logic.
